A warm welcome to the website of The City of Bath Male Choir, founded in February 2006 by Grenville Jones. This is a Choir that is making a BIG sound and gaining a huge reputation. You may have seen The City of Bath Male Choir on the BBC Last Choir Standing TV show in August 2008, when the Choir reached 5th place and were watched and enjoyed by millions of Saturday night TV viewers.
The photograph above was taken at The Forum in Bath on Saturday December 13th when the Choir performed in front of an audience of 1500 people, a concert produced by Grenville Jones. Choir members come from across the area and applications for membership are welcome from guys between 16 and 65 who love to sing, you can read some of their comments on our website under 'singers.' The Choir was formed by Grenville Jones in January 2006 and now totals over 90 singers, the "Wall of Sound" is getting bigger and bigger! Grenville has proved that, contrary to public belief, MEN DO SING!
2008 was another very busy year for the Choir with a visit to Alkmaar in Holland in June. Alkmaar is Bath’s twin town and The Mayor of Bath (The Choir Patron) accompanied the Choir on the concert tour. The annual concert in 2008 moved to the Bath Forum, and was a sell out, the Choir's 2009 annual concert will again be at The Forum on Saturday November 7th. Following the Choir's appearances on Last Choir Standing the Choir is in great demand. The fantastic ACM Gospel Choir - picture below - will be coming to Bath on Saturday July 11th for a joint concert with the Bath Male Choir. Click here for full details.
The Choir also featured in the new Wispa TV commercial for Cadbury. They were invited to take part, so watch out for some familiar faces (and voices) when you see the Wispa ad.

The Choir will be singing on Tuesday January 6th at the Guildhall in Bath for the Mayor of Bath's Call To Prayer Annual celebration. This starts at 7.30pm and is open to everyone to attend. The next concert for The City of Bath Male Choir will be at the Wiltshire Music Centre on Saturday February 21st. More details on our concert section.
