The business was established in the early 1980's by Ron Cray. In 1990 I, Ian Chant, began working at the garage having completed my motor vehicle training and working for other garages for 5 years. I passed all my qualifications with credits and distinctions, and then began to learn from Ron about repairing and rebuilding automatic gearboxes.

In 2001 Ron Cray retired and I took over the business, changing the name to IC Automatics Ltd.

IC Automatics Ltd are the only garage in the area to rebuild automatics gearboxes. We also carry out servicing and fit parts for all automatics.

We pride ourselves on our honesty and reliability, which is why we have hundreds of loyal customers who return to us for all their vehicle requirements.
